Welcome to the Arlington Solar Challenge!

Mass Energy and the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) have teamed up with Sustainable Arlington to help win free solar panels for Arlington Schools.  For Every 150 Arlington Households and Business that sign up for New England Wind Fund between May 1, 2007 and April 30th, 2008, Arlington will earn a free 2 kilowatt solar array (worth $25,000) for a public building!

All contributions made to New England Wind Fund are tax deductible and are matched twice by MTC’s Renewable Energy Trust; once for Arlington to use for renewable energy programs, and once for low income communities across Massachusetts to use for renewable energy projects. To qualify for the Arlington Solar Challenge, you may make a one-time contribution of $100 or more; or you may enroll in the New Friends monthly payment program at a level of $5 a month or more.

Last year MTC awarded free solar panels to Lexington, Cambridge, Acton, Salem, Newton and Brookline.  This year it is Arlington’s turn- so sign up today, and spread the word!
